    High humidity occurs in areas that are warm and have high moisture content in the air, such as tropical climates like in the Philippines. So that statement is a bit of a miss--humidity in a place devoid of moisture (i.e desert conditions) is very rare. So I believe the word you're looking for is arid.

    The months in his journal are all wrong. August is no longer as hot as April to June. If he was a real person, he should have been complaining less and less.

    gets humid here though but not always, especially early morning and late afternoon...

    april to june maybe in the philippines...

    summer here starts august and cools down a bit mid-september, but still hot..

    school summer vacation here in the middle east starts august(heat is worst) until september....

    pero the term "humid" is the term they usually says..
    ma pa americans, canadians, british, south africans, saudis,kuwaiti, egyptians, Palestinians, lebanese, pinoys, indians, pakistans, bangladesh.... they used to say this term "humid" basta ing-ani na panahon.. pero so far karon la naman, co'z winter season is quite near.

    yeah, well said.. early morning and late afternoon... grrrrrr.. i guess that was last week of august and 1st week of sept.. sobra ka humid.

    we visited a friend, left the car outside under the sun for one hour, that was around 11 am until noon,
    pagsakay namo sa car, hikap siya manibela, paso iya fingers, blisters jud...

    i think the story is not true. there are some inconsistencies.

    he went back to new york august and said it was the independence day? hmmmmm. wer's the us history there. july 4 man ang independence day. hayz
