im a d40 user here and i am not going to say that 400d is better, what im trying to say is you can do wonders with the kitlens regardless of how old/young you are. Well, the only disadvantage with d40 is it doesnt have built in body motor, so it means manual focus on the beloved nifty fifty. And oh, before I forgot i hate also the fact that it doesnt have commander mode so you cant ttl wirelessly with sb's.
