Let's discuss Jihad.


What is jihad?

this word is the most misunderstood and feared term in Islam.

by simple definition it means "struggle". Its not what most people think and it does not mean holy war. Tho Jihad can lead to a holy war but the word itself do not mean holy war.


Everyday in our life we struggle and there are different kinds of struggle.

struggle to have economic stability
struggle to stay healthy
struggle to acheive excellence and be recognised and etc...


physical jihad can sometime mean to fight w/ a weapon to an oppressor, this only happens during a time of invasion and physical oppression. Muslim leaders will only call for jihad if there are basis to support the cause.

In The Holy Quran, The Prophet(SAW) forbids anyone to go to war w/o a valid reason. Going to a war for self interest is punishable by God.

Everyday a muslim must pray 5 times a day.

1) before the sun rises, this is called fajur.
2) Zuhor,pass 12noon, its called Zuhoor.
3) mid afternoon pass 3pm, this is Asr.
4) pass 6 oclock, this is called Maghrib.
5) before going to sleep preferably pass 7:30, This is the final obligatory prayer of the day,its called Isha.

Usually the prayers last for 10minutes.

and Muslims do wudu or ablution(wasing of hands,face,feet,head,ears) before every prayer.

Then a Muezzin will do a Adhan or a call to pray,signaling every muslims that its now time to pray.

"Allahu Akbar" - recited FOUR times.

Meaning, "Allah is Most Great."(four times)

"Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill-Allah" - recited TWO times.

Meaning, "I bear witness that there is none worthy of being worshipped except Allah."(twice)

"Ash-hadu anna Muhammad-ar-Rasoolullah" - recited TWO times.

Meaning, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah."(recited twice)

"Hayya 'alas-Salah" - recited TWO times.

Meaning, "Come to prayer."(turning the face alone to the right and saying it twice)

"Hayya 'alal-falah" - recited TWO times.

Meaning, "Come to Success."(turning the face alone to the left and saying it twice)

Meaning, "Allah is Most Great" (face back to front and saying it two times). Morning (Fajr) Prayers

The following phrase is added after "Hayya 'alal-falah" in the Azan of the early morning prayers:

"As-salatu khairum minannaum" - recited Two times.

Meaning, "Prayer is better than sleep" (recited two times).

I will answer any questions related to the subject of prayer only. Salam

Without a doubt this is perhaps the most beautiful prayer I ever heard in my entire life (my 2nd is the Gregorian monk's chants). I very fond of it since the subdivision where I stayed in zambo had a masjid and for a couple of years every morning I wake-up by the sound of it (via a loudspeaker). Makes me think of God first thing first every morning before everything else. I looked for it's english translation in our school library but it was disappointing since all the Islamic books are off-limits for non-muslims like me. On the other hand, christian literature are easily accesable by everybody both muslims and christians alike.

Yes, that is true brod... we can't blame the past but what resulted from the past we also carry it along. I remember one time sa una nga ang akong amigo nga muslim hated and despised muslim fundamentalists because they are destroying their faith not to mention the entire islamic society. Now, any religion is based on "peace" also but that "peace" means different for these people. We can't blame Islam for that... blame the fundamentalists and fanatics who destroys their faith. But there so many catholics that are also fundamentalists too... by reading the bible it turn out a different interpretations. One example is that famous grupo nga sige ug labayay ug hugaw sa ilang congregation. There is no peace on that rather a duplicated behavior that's done from the past. Your god has a purpose but that's not what he meant on fighting the same faith... one is correct the other is wrong... vice versa - no peace there, do you agree?. I don't blame any religion or philosophy or your god but the "people" behind that group.

Mohammed said to the masses, "Convert or die!"; Christ said, "Believe and live!" (John 6:47; 11:25-26).

Mohammed was swift to shed blood (Romans 3:15-17); Christ shed His own blood for the salvation of many (Ephesians 1:7).

Mohammed preached "Death to the infidels!"; Christ prayed "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).

Biblical Jesus came to send sword to his believers because they were to be persecuted because of their faith in him, indeed it was true that he brought sword upon his disciples.

and conquer evil with good.

while prophet mo asked his followers to carry the sword and kill who doesn't agree with him.

Biblical jesus told peter not to slay anyone. and even put back the ear of that person.

while prophet mo is very willing to even kill an entire tribe who had insulted him.

Now, those from the old testament are not anymore part of the christian creed because the biblical jesus already ransomed his people from the old covenant which was still brutal. and he paid for the old contract through his obedience and his blood so that he can now usher in a new covenant that is founded in LOVE.

while prophet mo was the exact opposite. by even having *** with a nine year old girl. what kind of god is that allah who would allow an over fifty year old man to have *** with a nine year old girl. he must be a very unmerciful pervert.

basta you just read the islamic book and you will find out that in islam the world is divided into the House of Islam and the House of War, the Dar al-Islam and the Dar al-harb. how can a religion be a religion of peace when it has declared war on the kufars (non-believers) and admonishing muslims not to take friends among christians and jews calling them apes and pigs.

so i encourage all of you to read the hadith especially the 2 sources that are often the basis for muslim shariah. the hadith are sahih bukhari and sahih muslim which most muslims considered as authentic. the violence is extreme that it becomes the source for the justification of the terroristic acts of muslims who want to be rewarded with 72virgins in the afterlife. yan pa ang isang nakakalula na malalaman mo tungkol sa islam. sa totoo lang nung malaman ko yun, ang naisip ko agad... ang langit pala ng islam ay parang isang bahay parausan. mas masarap pa rin pala ang langit ng mga christiano. dahil wala ka ng pagnanasa (lust) at wala ng pagkagutom (hunger). basahin nyo na rin ang quran and you'll realized that only the first few verses are peaceful but were abrogated by later violent verses. kasi nung lumakas na ang puersa ni muhamad naging violent na sya. nung wala pa syang lakas at nagsisimula pa lang syempre hindi sya puedeng magsigasigahan dahil mapapatay sya ng tao.

....is so ignorant that he doesn't realize that most of what he's quoting from the bible was from the Jewish Torah before Jesus was even born. Anything in Genesis, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Chronicles, Ezekiel, Joshua, Psalms, Judges, Samuel, Jeremiah.

it's not about hate. i don't hate the muslims (i consider them victims of islam), but i hate what is written in that book that encourage violence. that is exactly why i provided the link with the hadith and quran and not just the faithfreedom.org website. i also did not know about islam until i read the site and study it so as not to judge the religion by what the site says but by what i would find out in the quran and hadith itself. the faithfreedom website in a way opened my eyes and encourage me to make further study and research but it is not the basis for my conclusion. what it says had basis and it is our responsibility that as people with brains we should re-examine what the site says by reading the quran and hadith.

and yes, the torah also had a lot of brutal passages. that is why i believe in john lenon's imagine. religion is all about control. it's about subjugating people's mind and controlling people's lives. the christian religion had already abandoned violence found in the torah because their jesus already preached love but islam still holds on to it, where apostasy (turning away from islam) is punishable with death.

so let me give you the online quran and hadith again. so we would not base our knowledge on that site which you call "hateful".

let us learn about islam from the quran and hadith. see for yourselves. and use your brain to think rationaly.

No matter how people, like Malic, try to paint a humanizing face on Islam, its hateful teachings cannot be glossed over. Thus, a true Muslim is one that is willing to kill for his god.

Christianity has defanged the Jewish Torah. It's unfortunate that a religion which comes 600 years after Christianity thrives on hatred and brutality towards its enemies, perceived or real. It may be noted that in places where there are no non-Muslims, Muslims turn upon each other.

Hence, Islam's dream of a Muslim superstate would remain an illusion because its culture and ideology of violence is insatiable and would drive it against itself.

One only needs to read the news.
