the absence and suppression of justice can only open the way for extremists to exploit such a condition to perpetrate acts of violence against innocents.. everybody knows there is no fineness or accuracy of suppression.. if you hold down one thing, you hold down the adjoining..

senate inquiry, or any congressional inquiry should be in aid of legislation not in aid of grand standing, prosecution and destabilization.

we already have a lot of these inquiries, questions is, had congress made legislations out of these inquiries?

that we should demand from them or ask from them... whether malacañang like it or not... congress has this oversight function to have check and balance in place, to prevent the executive branch from abusing it's power... how can we check also if this dept. heads and cabinet secretaries are doing monkey business... how?

yeah right and the one who checks them are the big apes themselves. if there's a case let the Â*courts handle it, it's their job. Aid of legislation crap, what legislation are they talking about? they haven't done any legislation work since the first session, all they do is senate hearing here and senate hearing there, it's such a big waste. a lot of legislative work to be done and yet all time wasted on endless and senseless hearings. people are getting tired of this crap. there's a lot of bills to be looked onto and be discussed. bills that will help improve this country, what they are actually doing is trying to link the president to any case that they could grab so that they could somehow strengthen their move to oust her. those are the real cheaters. i voted for the senators to work on the flaws of our laws and not to act like judges and relieved themselves from their actual duty. most of these senators are not even lawyers, for me they are not credible people to cross examine anyone. Â*

and FK, the checking ang suspension of this dept. heads and other gov't officials are supposed to be the job of the ombudsman. have you heard of them before.

yeah right. and these cabinet members are first accountable to the President who is the head of the executive department.

EO 464 does not really prohibit the members of the executive to appear in any inquiries, the order only required these people to ask clearance from the President before appearing in any inquiries.

it was also questioned during cory's administration. Â* and another issue is that during cory's time only department heads and secretaries... but now including those under those secretarie, policemen and military personnel...
