    na-install na ang KB888111 nimo bro? if yes, check if nasulbad na imong problema. if wala pa ma-solve, try again using the UAAC disabling/uninstall/reinstall drivers. post again for feedback.

    bro naka try na pud ko ana imong problem bro, na solve na nako daghan nako naka install ug laptop ing ana ang problem. ang dapat nimo buhat imo na i target ang hardware did2 sa driver niya first u must install the modem then sunod na ang sound nga uaa. or dli gihapon gani kay txt or ako ang mo setup ana imong sound sa laptop bro.

    just 3 weeks ago, a co-worker got the same exact issue. she had the HP chat support and nothing happened.

    She bought her laptop in the US and downgraded her OS to XP. I went to hell and back to make all the drivers work. i was able to patch up some drivers using forceware but until the audio and video drivers went crazy.

    then it all boils down to re-installing the vista os. and downloaded all the updates and drivers from the HP site. everything is as smooth as silk now.

    @threadstarter ask lang ko.. kana imo laptop originally Vista then imo first time downgrade to XP unya ok diba? then imo nasad gibalik ug Vista?? then ibalik nasad nimo Xp nya nagka problema... unsa imo reason??

    Done this before and this is what I did and it works for me.
    1. Go to device manager and right click Multimedia or the sound device with the yellow punctuation mark then properties.
    2. Go to Drivertab and click Update Driver.
    3. Click Install from a list or specific location. Then NEXT
    4. Click Dont search.... then NEXT
    5. Click Sound, Video.... then NEXT
    6. Click Have a disk... then browse to the location where you put your downloaded sound driver from HP.
    7. Then Enter
    8. If you will be ask something like "Not compatible with etc, etc. or something like this..." Just click continue.
