i bought a psp slim piano black from neo galaxy last aug 18, 2008. thats last week monday.

i always play games through the memory card and i never tried the umd. but yesterday i got the chance to try my friend's umd (nfs:mw), and it wouldnt work!... It will load (with the loading icon in the lower right), and i could feel a slight motion, but it doesnt show up, and after a minute, it will say that the UMD cannot be read.
It works fine on my friend's PSP slim (orig firmware by the way)...

im going to look for a umd and try it again. is it possible that its not compatible with mine?? It should work, right? maybe it's defective?

i never touched any firmware or any system setting

I dont really use the UMD but knowing that it should be working bothers me... ill try a few UMDs tomorrow and ill see whether somethings wrong.

maybe bro, na deactivate lang ang UMD capability sa PSP. Ma change man gud na, try to check lang basin naay kahibalo nga imo kaila. Hold the right bottom while turning the PSP on imo makita iya setting kung na enable or na disable iya capability to play UMD.

when i go to that config thing, the umd mode says sony np9600. isnt it supposed to be normal mode?
