laptop combo drive problem

i have a problem with a laptop whose model is acer travelmate 3210. its optical drive isnt working anymore and i need to re install the os coz it had problems after i installed deepfreeze in it (deepfreeze console is inaccessible even with deepunfreezer). i tried booting it with an external dvdrw, it detects the drive but it wont boot using the dvdrw because it doesnt have the option to boot from usb. does anyone know where to buy an internal dvdrw for acer laptops?

Hello bro, butt in lang ko ani ha.... hehehe nahan lang ko tabang.

Na detect sa BIOS ang imo optical drive?
kung na detect, try daw reset ang drive bro. (remove then taud balik)

i already tried it bro but i think its more than loose contact because the drive is producing a loud noice which sounds like a buzzer while its reading a dvd

any optical cdrw/dvdrw will do.. testingi lang sa...naa man guro na sa mga pc shops bro

hurot na nako og suroy ang mga stores dha sa sm dapit pero external nga dvdrw ra ang available. na try na man gud nako ang external nga dvdrw pero dili cya mo boot bisan ma detect niya ang external dvdrw. wala man gud boot from usb ang iya bios.
