Co-sign. This bill has its pros and cons. Maybe it can promote awareness to some in terms of practical family size. But I think the biggest problem will be the budget. Say, if the gov't provides condoms, pills, and other artificial contraceptives to the people. That'll sure be a big budget and when you speak of making it a common practice to Filipino people. Imagine how much bigger will it get after 5-10 years. The budget will just get bigger and bigger as time goes on.

IMHO, I think it'll be better if the gov't just use the budget for this bill in providing jobs to the unemployed.

Well, why not. If the Church and the government somehow got Filipinos to abstain, then props to them. Though I'm doubtful of it, it's a start. Anything that gets things moving is better than nothing.

Of course, dli jud ing ana ang atong gov’t karon ky daghan lagi kaayo ta. so kasabot nka dodong how overpopulation really affects us.

the issue of poverty and corruption are another things to focus on. i posted before nga passing this bill would not solve poverty intawn oi. again, this is not an anti-poverty bill nor an anti-corruption one. this is not an economic issue nor this is an issue for the PAGC or ombudsman. we are talking about safe reproductive health here, about educating filipinos, especially the minors on their attitude towards ***. passing this bill would not solve poverty oi. so much for corruption. ambot lng jud ninyong duha you keep on saying over & over again about poverty, corruption etc. we all know that solving overpopulation alone doesn't totally eliminate poverty. paulit-ulit na pud ko. overpopulation is only one factor lagi. and so are corruption so on, so forth. those are only a tiny part of the factors of poverty. unless we could solve overpopuolation. let's say in the next generation, our gov't resources can now be allocated so well to every citizen ky natarong naman ug bahin ang tanan. so, gov't would focus more on other issues like corruption and economic mismanagement, in that sense, our gov't machinery can run smoother w/ the overpopulation issue being solved, therefore poverty would somehow be minimized. Less issues, more important things to focus, in the end, a better government.

nya speaking about japan having a problem on low birth rate. that's correct. its true. and so are singapore, canada and other 1st world countries. it happened to them ky effective kaayo ilang population control program. laliman ba kag muhatag na gud cla ug huge tax breaks and incentives for couples hu can bear their 2nd child and so on. it's very clear that japan already has fewer young people right now. for example, the tokyo disneyland, where most of their guest are japanese themselves, they experience huge declines in their visitors ky gamay na lagig batan on cla. and they now encourage their citizens to give birth. it is just their countermeasure on how to deal w/ low birth rate. this does not mean nga mopabor cla ug high birth rate like here, mopabor cla ug overpopulation, mopabor cla ug bearing children more than they could afford. ambot lng jud average citizens of 1st world countries would ever think having lots of babies as a wise decision.

im not sure brader ha if tokyo got the highest population density in the world, coz what i know it was a 3rd world city man toh. but if tokyo jud gali, it could only be a small part of japan, ky in overall, japan really needs higher population right now.

Mao nay answer ana bro, ang UNFPA wala ka sustiner kay "MAHAL" dili kay walay ningkagat. Pero ok ko anang family planning, pero kung mogamit man gani lang ug contraceptives, please lang, ayaw tawn ipagamit ang kwarta sa mga tawo kay usik usik lang na. Its their call kung asa sila mo palit sa ilang condom. Bro, daghan ko ug kaila nga middle class nga gamay ra ug anak, tungod kana kay bz sila sa ilang trabaho. In other words, naa ra na sa utok sa tawo. Kung walay lingaw imong utok bro, lagmit mosulod ang porma sa lawas sa sexy nga babae bro. Busyha lang imong utok bro para walay mosulod nga tentasyon. naa tay health centers brad oi nga motudlo ug family planning. but what this bill wants is to expand, not only sa health centers, but also be brought in schools. also *** education is not only about *** oi. it is about developing their attitudes and their thoughts on how to deal w/ their sexual and reproductive capabilities. w/ their promiscuous and explorative ideas, letting them aware by educating and making them comfortable on this sensitive topic would really help on their well-being, their self-esteem, therefore, unsay resulta, a better citizen and mas productive.

That may be one of the stated purposes of the Bill, but I believe its provisions do NOT fulfill this intent. This is aside form the fact that it diverts resources from attacking the real problem.
