I would like to share to all my fellow istoryans just to help in avoiding any untoward incidents like this in the future. My colleague who is our
global recruiting manager had her soothing massage in Aug. 04, 2008 @Alibyo Boutique & Spa in I1 Bldg, IT Park, Cebu City. I felt pity about her unpleasant encounter w/the said spa & our dear police officers who are supposed to be helping us for we pay them w/our taxes!
This is the email I got from our team's incident report poc;
Team,
Let me just share with you an incident that happened to me in Alibyo Boutique Spa in I2 last night.
Went to the spa after work, around 1015pm to have a massage, placed my bag in their locker. After the 2 hour massage, I got my bag to pay and found out that I lost 4K (four thousand pesos), I am 101% sure that someone from their spa took the money from my wallet. There were conflicting statements coming from their therapist, cashier and manager so I decided to call the police to investigate. After 5 hours of onsite (Alibyo) investigation, I went to to the Police Station to file a formal complaint and a police report. The police also asked money from me to "speed up" the process. The owner of the spa didnt even apologize and was not concerned at all.
Moral Lesson: Never go to Alibyo Boutique Spa and Never trust the police officers
This is not about the money that I've lost, its the feeling that I cant just trust people other than e**l employees.
Just sharing...
Thea
