hello bro,
these are the answers of your questions

1. yes! it can stand long hours of operations but depende sad na sa router na imu gigamit, YOU MUST PICK A DURABLE KIND OF ROUTER FOR IT TO STAND MISSION CRITICAL SITUATIONS ( 24/7 operation).
2. using WPA-PSK is ok, as long ala lang ka naggamit og WEP.... kay ang WEP its an old security technology na prune to hacking....
3. yes! you can filter the who will be accessing your wireless network. ad2 lang ka sa Management Interface (router) then go to Wireless Client Filtering... just make sure to know the MAC Addresses of your computers na naka connect sa imu network kay this feature is to filter unknown MAC Addresses na mag access sa imu network. but you dont have to use this if you will set your wireless security properly.
4. i think the default config of it is turn off, well sa akoa lang na na experience ha, i dont know sa ubang router if naka on bana cya by default... but its better if you will check if its ON or NOT...
and lastly, you practice this practice.... RTFM (Read The Friendly Manual)... for best results...
well, NETGEAR Products are somewhat OK pero naa na cla daghan issues regarding sa ilaha product... im not trying to be brand conscious, im just saying wats happening today..
