    Default banking system hardware requirements


    hello mga bros,

    i have this incoming project ba nya banking system cya (62 areas and every area, theres 10 branches.. so total kay 620 branches) .. nya i want your advice regarding sa hardware na panggamiton (servers), if ever we need a storage box or not.. then ang infra sa system (leaseline or not? then if ever magleaseline, pila ang bandwith??, ang vpn routers na panggamiton, ang etc) ...

    help naman dyan bros..

    awww ok bro.. well, im working as a technical support engineer.. kaso im not really that expose to such project, nya time comes lang na naa ko incoming project na ing-ani, thats why in preparations, i asking for advices and tips that would help me.

    for your main server get a data center or main frame or a server farm. this is where your client server should connect. are you going to create your own custom program for this? if so, then it is advisable to have an SQL Server -> COM Server -> Application Server -> Clients. that is basically the big picture. you can contract HP for the setup. they also have on-site engineers should your network needs maintenance or hardware failures.

    bro, thanks for the help... sa iya network infra lugar? its better to apply for a leaseline na 1mb or mas ok kung taas taasan wat i mean, sa iya vpn ba....

    did you study this like CISCO academy or Avaya.....

    you can't build one overnight....

    and you are responsible for 620 branches... thats an incredible task to design a network....

    get a 10MB line. you may apply that at bayantel i think. they have good service because there is no down time and money back guarantee. bayantel accommodates corporate accounts only. do you provide ATM machines as well? if so, then you may contract NCR for that.

    by the way, this is one super big project. i hope you have people working for you that will handle specific areas. you can't do this all by yourself. this involves millions of pesos. one little mistake and you might end up in a jail cell. these advises i have given you is just a little portion on what you should know. there are a lot of things that you should know that i don't. maybe other people here can give a much clearer info. so, good luck bro.

    well, they do have some atm machines bro.. well, this is quiet a very large project because they operate nationwide... they are requiring a server who will act as their main server.....

    no i didnt study any of those youve mentioned...
    this is just the plan of our clients for their banking system.. well, its a company business which if approved, ill be handling the project..

    That is why our banking systems are sooo offline all the time and having network problems. I hope you will solve this.
