cguro bosing mga 100-400 ... you get good pics with less noise. kanang 1600 ... medyo dili na kaayo na nindut (although relative hinuon na!). 800 is pushing it ... IMHO =)

For me up to ISO400 is fine.

ISO 100. Kun di kaya sa shutter speed ug stationary lang ang subject, use tripod.

Ambient temperature can also influence the sensor noise. Your cam is just like a computer. The cooler, the better. Luckily, it's almost always at nighttime when it is cooler that we use slower shutter speeds where the sensor gets prolonged use.

But I guess, for practical everyday use, this is immaterial to most people.

Noise is not always bad. There are images that could use some noise.
