MMA's is a fast growing sport a year or two from now they can offer bigger purses that can match boxers fight purse. and not all boxers receive 1M plus purses only a few boxers can demand that - manny pac, dela hoya, mayweather, hatton, margarito, cotto. only a few boxers can demand a big pay day and it also depends who they fight.

for me as a fight fan i would love to see manny crossover to MMA.
