i had this kind of relationship once... i was kind of like the bf, with the girl as my first gf, and etc, etc...
she gave up on me after 8 years long relationship and as of today we belong with somebody's arms and we are both very much happy with that somebody that we belong to...

i guess she did the right decision of giving up on me... so, if you are up to it, maybe you should do as what she did to me... because in the long run, we learn to understand why it happened to us...
