OT
hilasa pagkaingon ani oi. What you might not know is happy sya sa iya life and from the looks of it mas happy and content pa gani sya nimo. You sound so elite and all knowing. Jesus berated people like you during His time. The spirit of the Pharisee is live and kicking in people like you.
I was born a Catholic, raised to grow up as devout as any, studied in Catholic schools, and ended up as an agnostic. Reason why i did not join other religions is because of the perks. Hello? Lingaw bya ang mga fiesta, mga bunyag, mga kasal sa simbahan, mga pa blessing, and ang Misa mubo ra naa gani 45 minutes.
But wa nako gi close ako doors sa ako faith pud oi. Only thing that could make me come back to my devotion of old is if I see miracles in Biblical proportions. I want to see seas parted, I want to see someone walk in water, I want to see bread rain from above, and I want to see someone rise from the dead. I hope God blesses us with experiences like these in the way He blessed the Israelites.
peaceful in short..
wooohoooo..
James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89.
"But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify."
note: not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday.
note: Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.
Catholic Virginian Oct. 3, 1947, p. 9, art. "To Tell You the Truth.
"For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the [Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible."

tns az...for letting me share, eto ang mga realizations ko in my journey:
- it's the religion that is fused with pagan mysticism (especially sa rituals feasts, and liturgy)
(bisan mudeny ang tanan ka-parian)
-the religion that exercise freewill even if with a history of manipulations, conspiracies & power-trips
and the only religion that recognizes the feminine divinity (in the symbology of Mama Mary)
despite a seemingly patriarchial structure and form
-the religion that made me question more...and more...and more...other religions just shove it down your bottom and asks you to shut up and repeat what they just taught.
-allows you to "evolve"by wondering off yet the doors are still open when you come back. it doesn't physically punish or condemn you when you make mistakes but makes you guilty and fearful for it...
-like a mother, hindi nagkulang sa pangaral even if sometimes baluktot ang pangaral pero alam mo para sa kabutihan mo rin yun. so it's up to you if you follow them or not...if madapa ka out of your stubborness, like a mother, it is there ever ready to forgive...all you do is acknowledge
-other religions are either too structured, too attached to culture, too loose, too wayward, too fanatic, too overzealous, too self-righteous...in short too EGO-istic...although may mapupulotka pa ring wisdom sa kanila and thus I respect other religions... however, Catholicism is just right for me... Catholics know they are not perfect and most are humble out of that insecurity..i like that mentality... devoid of ego...mas okay un kaysa sa mga religion who thinks that they are the only ones "saved"
- it's the only religion that evolves with human society...a flexible neccessity in a frigid reality form called religion... teachings are the same but the understanding and applications evolve...hehehe
-lastly, it's the religion that talks about PASSION...the passion of Christ, which is relived over and over and over again...I like to follow Christ's way of doing things out of love rather than fear...
So the main point why I say I am still a catholic and more?
Is because I am baptized as one and has never yet found another religion na puwedeng
higitan ung appreciation ko sa Catholicism as a religion (not the church...or organization of people ha)
Kase NAIINTINDIHAN KO ito and I only practice what I understand in my level of comprehension.
Blessings of love and light!
kaw az, unsa man ka diay ron, why ka nangutana ani? just curious...
