Interesting... Let's say your company is that good. Meaning,
    - we will get the "right" Service we are paying for and not just a some sort of advertising talks?

Clarification lang sir. If ever mahitabo ang problem pareha atong naputol nga fiber optic chuva last year ba to... if patay ang connection sa globe ug pldt... do you mean to say buhi gihapon inyo connection w/o change sa bandwidth? this is just a follow up for vern's & ajol's post.

So while you can market reliability and service, when it gets down to the guts of it, you still rely on the backbones of the major Philippine telecoms.

if the pacific cables are cut

    everyone will be affected...

What I am implying is if you want an internet connection it will have to pass with any of the local telcos namely GLobe, PLDT, Digitel, Bayantel, Express Telecom.... no exceptions...

from the Philippines to the USA (major hosting server) it will pass thru the fiberoptic cable owned by telco consortiums.

    PLDT is partnered with NTT

Globe partners with Singtel, also an indian telco.

There is no cebu fiber optic directly connected to the USA.

PLDT uses Batangas as their cable landing station

Also with Globe has a Batangas cable landing station. Globe is contructing a new one in Cagayan provice facing the pacifc

    Digitel uses Global crossing.

Bayantel this one I have no idea where they lease their international fiber.

Yes. Like I said, whoever puts more money into the projects gets more control of it. International links aren't a democracy.
