Nope, this is not a joke. Corporate DSL is shared by lesser clients compared to residential. Just think about two different roads with both 100 cars traveling. One in a two lane highway and the second in an eight lane highway. Which traffic travels faster? Of course, quality and speed comes with a price. =)

How get that network routed to the international network?
Do they have their own lines from here to Manila, and from there to the international network?
What bandwidth do they have from Manila to Cebu?

There are multiple DS3 backbone and redundant links from Cebu to Manila. Then another international mulitple DS3 transit providers from Manila going offshore. You can have a traceroute from our network once you're a subscriber. =)

Or you could provide a server for the public to traceroute to. The current traceroute to your web servers just gives me more hops from the US to the PH than PLDT. Are you reselling Pacific internet services or is this just another name for Pacific Internet?

whose telephone lines will you be using? Globe, PLDT, Bayantel, Digitel?

Thanks Vern for the comment. The hops depends on your provider there in the US as well. There's a multitude of routers in the internet network where you can pass on the routes. So the hops varies. That's the reason why you have different upstream providers for redundancy and alternate routing options. We are previously Pacific Internet. Our new trade name is Prime Communications. =)

That is a given that hops will vary depending on where I am in the US, but once it is time to shoot those packets across the ocean, your links still go through the same links as every other ISP in the PH ... your packets still go through the Globe network. So while you can market reliability and service, when it gets down to the guts of it, you still rely on the backbones of the major Philippine telecoms.
