they will be the one to assess us if our degree would be in accordance to the degree in Australia.

I think their assessment fee is AUD350.00 around P15,000.00 and they will give you feedback after 8 weeks if you passed. haven't finished yet gathering the required documents.

sorry bai, but the way I look at it, plenty of accountants in OZ. But who knows, just see the IMMI website and find out whether accountants are on the priority list.

at the moment they lack nurses. You know, Aussies doesn't like working long hours (takdan na pud ko ani. i don't like working extra hours). hospitals need more nurses during the night shift...

Western Australia's mining region needs more workers at the moment. In fact, WA is driving Australia's economy. there are even cases where workers live in NSW (for 1 week), but work in WA's mining region (for 3 weeks). It's a weird scenario because you travel to the westcoast to work and return home to the eastcoast to your family and house.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako

SW and Website testing are already being outsource in India, China, and Pinas. No disrespect, but if that is only your qualification in IT, I'm sure it would be very difficult for you to migrate to OZ. But no harm trying though.

Developers, programmers, Sys & Network Admins are what OZ are after. Even these positions are being subject to outsource now. Maybe Sys and Network Admins is not yet on the radar. Mainly, because these positions must be on-site to fix problems. Expertise on a specific product, e.g. Cisco is also on demand.

Again these may change in the future. The latest info can be found at the IMMI website.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako

Let me give you more info why using agents isn't gonna help you at all. Every year IMMI updates their Priority List of the Professions that Australia needs. Each profession has corresponding points in it. Let say if OZ needs more Nurses next year than Electrical Engineers, then the Nursing profession has bigger points than EE profession. If you are an EE and say you lodge your application, spending money for a migration agent is not gonna help you get more points compared to the Nurses. Remember, this is just an example. All the detailed info is at IMMI website. That's why you must READ and UNDERSTAND what is printed at the IMMI website.

There are many more factors that affects your application namely; your age, your work experience, English language, where you want to live in OZ, etc. These things has corresponding points. By just following the IMMI steps/procedure, then you are halfway there.

Your documents will not be rejected for as long as you follow the IMMI procedures and that your documents are not fake. Again READ and UNDERSTAND what is on the IMMI website.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako
they will let you sign a contract that they will refund 100% if they fail...

A 100% refund? Your agent is definitely B*llshiting. Go to IMMI website and READ and UNDERSTAND. The Lodgement fee at IMMI is NOT refundable. Maybe the agent's service fee is refundable but NOT the IMMI lodgement fee.

There is no Online Application for now. You have to download the relevant PDF files and print it yourself. Again I cannot give the details here. Goto IMMI website and READ and UNDERSTAND.
If you cannot READ and UNDERSTAND then there is no point for you to apply. You are only wasting your money.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako
