Bro newton. Ingon ani ang setup bro. Si Jesus Christ is God, he forgives sins, pero ang priests and the pope are "authorized by Jesus Christ" to forgive sins. When priests forgive sins, ingon ani ang ilang isulti bro, "In the name of Jesus, I forgive your sins".
See Matthew 16:19 I just posted above about the authority vested on Peter by Jesus Christ about forgiving sins.

the last time i confessed to a priest was 15 years ago. about your question abt confession, as a good catholic, ideally, kung ako naay sala, i talk to the person nga akng nakabikil. i asked forgiveness to d person and confess, OR i confess and make good of my confession by asking forgiveness to d person involved, whether pasaylo-on ko or not.

hala xa wala nalng pari pope bishop ug uban pang mga Religion leader dha wala na sila gamit. kana imu amu brad rcruman kana si Eli boy wala pud na xa gamit. you can by yourself read and understand the bible and you dont need priest to forgive you sin. then i say to you you have all what you need. unsai gamit d.i ni eli boy ug ana inyong mga ministro? abir?
