tess of apc posted the msi gx-600 here -->https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...-blue-ray.html
this laptop also has a "turbo" button that enables it to overclock itself substantially. i personally would stay away with overclocking but to some this may be an added bonus.. especially to gamers who wants more FPS with their games.
the currently avialable asus m50sv has a lower clocked cpu and it's hard drive is only 5400rpm but has somewhat a higher video card than the msi gx600. im sure both laptops will perform very well with 3ds max and just for pure modeling, texturing and animation. but when it comes to rendering... that's a different story.

This is a nice notebook from msi except lang gx600 blue ray kai murag di na kaya 99k na hehehe.
also i have to consider the overall build, like, Altec lansing built in speaker, dual mode touch pad, the looks, casing hinge(very important), etc... i found asus m50sv has it all, the cpu speed is really not much Noticeable when it comes to performance compare to that t7250.
sa RAM easy to upgrade, hardisk saun ra pod
ako ra jud e consider sa laptop kai ang processor ra ug videocard, kai lisud or dili ma upgrade kai mura ka palit bag-o kung imo jud e upgrade so not worthy na.
here's my asus m50sv

yes point taken. though i was pointing out the msi gx600-performance and not the blue ray edition. the hard drive is a small hindrance, but like i said i'm sure both laptop will perform very well with 3ds max.
i would recomend the asus m50sv over the msi gx600 because of its overall build quality and faster card, plus the fact that msi's warranty will be void should the user decide to pop open the laptop and upgrade the ram module or its hard disk.
there is also a msi laptop that could do 3ds max very well and would cost around 40K.
MSI EX600 YAx notebook - Php40,500.00
Intel Core2 Duo T5450 1.6GHz , Intel Pro Wireless 4965 AGN
Nvidia Geforce 8400GS 256MB VRAM, 15” WXGA ACV LCD Display
1GB DDR2-667 Memory, 80GB SATA Hard Disk Drives
Super Multi DVDRW Drive, 1.3MP Webcam, Card Reader
Free: MSI Targus Laptop Bag
i think this would a good choice for the budget-minded max user and i'm pretty sure there are other laptops out there. probably one of those acer aspires.
one thing to keep in mind though is that ram, proc, and hd comes to play in rendering. videocard has nothing to do with it. but if you do plan to model high-poly characters and merge millions of polygons in your scene then i'd suggest you get the faster videocard. nothing is more annoying to see than the "application error" pop out and the file failed to save cause your proc and vidcard can't handle everything in your scene.
@gemcadz,
actually ako 1st laptop MSI man white ang color nalimot ko sa exact model, its a
core2duo t5450 1.6ghz
1gigram
120HD
Intel GMA x3100 128mb shared
1.3meg cam
fingerprint reader
14" white ang color
Nalimot lang jud ko sa model, anyway contented nako ato i bought it last february sa accentmicro SM
at 39k.
pero ako gi uli kai ang LCD cover mebawog ang plastic, buti nalang wala pay 7days, so i change it with asus A8E, after a 2 months I sold the said laptop then i got this Asus m50sv.
Actually a laptop with a dualcore processor...Pentium dualcore or Core 2 Duo capable naman of todays softwares because of its dual Processing.
With regards to the hardisk even if it is still on 5400rpm....Sata naman pod meaning 150mb/s and im still looking for sata2 maski 5400rpm ra kai 300mb/s ang transfer rate..
If you notice laptops now a days nag ka taas ang mga specs nag ka gamay pod ang batterylife
mine is only 1hour and 50mins (entertainment mode) 2hours and 20mins(Battery saving mode) 1hour and 30mins(High Performance mode)
before the old laptop of my brother it extend up to 5hours Pentium 2 IBM
Lisura Sad Ana Bro.. Pila Man Imong Budgget??
