dli mabuhi ang tawo sa pan lamang.

so balihon nato bro, since kinahanglan man pud ta ug pan which is for our physical form, dli jud nato malikayan e-mix ang spiritual ug physical. Ikaw bro, what do you do for a living? where did you get your bread considering that you already have the word of God?

regarding cathechism, taas kaayo na bro uy.

wow, bro rcruman, your family is mostly catholics... and at one point in your life you wanted to be a priest. if i may judge from what you've posted, had you continue to be a priest you would have been one of the good priests that would make a difference. personally daghan kaayong priests nga gipalabi ila pagka human, nya pari man unta. pero this doesn't give me doubts of being a Catholic and i'm proud of being one.

question ni ha, kung di ka catholic or kung manaway lang ka sa among religion, dont bother answering...

in this church where i go to hear mass, the priest sometimes uses the prayers of the Roman Rite during certain parts of the Mass--although in English, and prayed out loud (some prayers of the Roman Rite are not usually prayed aloud)--i kind of favor this, since it adds more character to the mass, compared to the Novo Ordo (which, pardon me, is somewhat dry)...my question is, is the priest allowed to do so 'legally' by Canon Law?

i was also wondering, if the priest could also 'legally' borrow rituals from other churches in communion with Rome during the celebration of the Mass, you know, so that it wont be dull and routine?

not that i'm saying that the mass is dull--well, except for the Novo Ordo, which has been boring to me lately--but, i'm just the kind of person who's not comfortable with routine

    thanks X D

actually bro... that verse tackles the spirituality of man as a being that is of flesh... it is actually letting you see the human side of Jesus when He was in the desert fasting. That time, the devil knew that God being in a human body will also be craving for physical needs, one of which is the "pan" but because Jesus was fasting, He told the devil which was actually a qoute from the old testament, that man cannot live by bread alone... because inorder for man to live the life of eternity, he has to also take spiritual food...

your spiritual life should dictate how you should live your physical life here on earth since some the flesh's needs often contradicts your spiritual life...

we're here because we love our fellow brothers and sisters in faith... you guys might be catholic but we also know that some of you are full blooded Christians, when I say that, I mean you have members who understands the true meaning of salvation and for those who doesn't know what it is yet, we're trying to make you understand...

We're not trying to tell you not to be proud of being a catholic (at least I am) but simply that by saying "Catholic faith" is simply wrong, you should say "Christian faith" but under the Catholic denomination since we all acknowledge that the bible has told us that Jesus is the way, the truth and life (not ONE OF THE WAYS, THE TRUTHS and THE LIVES but "THE" WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE) and NO ONE goes to the Father but through Him, we all believe in Jesus therefor our faith is in Christ ergo the name Christians...

We're trying to enlighten those who have not been shined upon yet because we want, that on judgement day, when everyone will be judge if your going to be in Heaven or not, we'll all see each other on God's promise land.... wouldn't that great?

I'm thankful to GOd because i failed to become a priest.
I will be ashame in front of HIM if i became a priest, because I can't take it with my conscience and guilt to preach to people to vow down before idols and take a chance for them to praise the TRUE GOD which is spirit.

its your choice to stay as a CATHOLIC even you know that your doctrine can't be found in the bible but rather in your own book which is CATECHISM.

    Peace!

I get my bread from a work that GOD allowed.
I mean I work in a clean way or a CHristian way that the bible taught.

about that Matthew 4:4 bro kay spiritual ang pasabot ana.
by the word of GOd that came out from HIS mouth we will live a life that is allowed by GOD.
we will have a life that is allowed by GOD if we follow His words.

    Peace!

Not being a priest and being where you are now is not really much of a difference.
You still put religion in the center of your life.
That will cause a personal imbalance.
(Because, religion should not be in the center of a person's life)
You will realize in the future
    that religion is never perfect
so you look for another religion again.
    And the cycle goes on.

By the time you are old
    you will realize,
you've lost a lot of your friends and family
for you prefer it more to be with your church members
and you already missed out a lot of opportunities in life
since you pushed it aside for your much valued church activities.

thanks bro for clearing what it means.

    His will be done...
Yes, the one thing given to us, a choice...
Some of our ways may not be literally found in the Bible but as long as it falls within his commandments of loving God and our fellow men as we love ourselves, i'll stay as a proud Catholic.
