Why The Christian Faith?

Rest assured that its not my own assertion bro. I'm a Catholic and that was how I was taught about the 3 magis. Its just so happen that I believe in the assertions taught to me by our church regarding the pagans from the east and how they knew Jesus through astronomical observations (astrology). But, I would prefer not to argue anymore which is correct or which is wrong. As for me, as a Catholic, I believe on that assertion because I believe on the authority of the Catholic Church to shepherd its flock.

:: It's worth investigating what was handed down to us whether it's in accordance with what Jesus Christ taught or not; whether those statements are stated in the Bible or not. Otherwise one can blindly believe the "assertions" made by a particular teaching body (which is ironically, fallible, given the true nature of man) without taking the extra mile of verifying whether they are truth or falsehood, especially if one come into grips that life in the afterlife is decided while one is still living. And being led by blind guides is inexcusable (Matthew 15:13-14). As the Roman Catholic Church pronounces,"let him be anathema!"

I don't want to exercise my faith blindly without digging into facts, bro. And what you believe is manifested by the way you see and act in life.

And in this portion resistance or acceptance to what you have found out comes in. <-- And this is usually the most difficult part: imagine abandoning some (or even all) of your cherished beliefs since childhood that were handed down to you by your folks and embracing another one due to what you have found out as the truth.
