Ubuntu is 100% free. You can even request for free CD's which come with glossy stickers. When you install applications from Ubuntu repositories, they are also free. Not just free as in "free beer" but free in the sense that you can look at its source code and make you own modifications to it.

I agree with you pre. Hardy Heron is the best Ubuntu release so far. Daghang reklamo ang ubang user pero so far, para nako mas paspas ug mas hanoy(trouble-free) jud siya gamiton kesa 7.10. Bisan ako mga customers sa Cafe ganahan sa Hardy. Niay usa ka suki dili jud mogamit sa XP nga unit kay mas lingaw daw siya sa Hardy Heron. Thumbs up for Ubuntu.
