i think u got it wrong when it said Pablo is blocking the bill. it doesn't mean that he is not in favor of the bill per se but he wanted some provisions in it smoothened out before being "hastily" approved. we have to take note that we already have the Generics Law so that this new bill won't conflict or overlap w/ it...

in fairness to Pablo, i think he is one of the few statesmen left that i admire a lot...

anyways, those are not the issues anymore.

    Humana...Na pirmahan na...LET'S CONGRATULATE OURSELVES!!!

and all we got to do is just wait for the implementation and the expected results...

    history repeats itself jud...

and in real fairness, for me, I don't think he is one of the few. no QUESTIONS!!!

and yes, let's wait for its implementation, and the results?again it's up for executive branch, if they have the will to battle it out against big businessmen. basin hangyo2-on rasad ni sa mga negosyante...kaaaaching!!! for them.

the big pharma companies have nothing anymore to do about it but follow the new law hook line and sinker. they had their chance but WA NA CLAY MAHIMS but to comply nlng. unless there will be new lobbying for scrapping that new law or even amend it, kataw-anan ni kng mahitabo this early. otherwise, it would be a big slap in the face for our legislators...

as i've said before, HUMANA. NA PIRMAHAN NA...

Prices of medicines here in the Philippines are really high compared to other Asian countries. Now that "Cheaper Medicines Act" is finally a law, let's hope that the Filipino people will really benefit this law. Good job PGMA!

the bill needs to be argued because we dont want to be buying medicines made out of flour!!!maybe some things need to be amended and i think that's what Rep. Garcia is getting at. .

the bill doesn't mean like that. abi ky barato, dili man na pasabot nga substandard pud. moagi bya na tanan sa BFAD. ang gilalisan man cguro nla Rep.Garcia before is the provision of doctors being required to prescribe Generics only, not the brand...

sa tinamban nga pagsabot sa new bill is that pwede na bsan ako or ikaw mka directly import ug medicines and sell at a cheaper rate.

Before, ang mga pharma companies ra ang ga control sa importation of medicines. Mao nang mahal kaau ky dako man sab kaayo ilang patong. Pila gud kabuok med reps ang ilang sweldohan. Plus pila gud kabouk doctors ang ilang gastohan pud as Representation cost.

Let's take for example nga karon tag P45 per ang usa ka tambal for hypertension dire. Sa ubang nasud sa Asia tag P10 per ra man. Now with this new bill, mudaghan ang players so therefore it will drive prices down to get us at par w/ around P10 also.

Now, wouldn't it be nice to know that in due time, we would no longer have the reputation as the country as one with the most expensive medicines in the whole of Asia?

How about brokering and fixing the sale of Lahug Airport lots all the way to the Supreme Court? That is not a definition of a stand out statesman in my book.

Pure and simple, the Lahug lots were suppose to be returned to their original owners without even have to go to trial but luoy kaayo ang mga tag-iya, ultimately pildi gyud sa Supreme Court. Ang uban gi-tagaan pa ug consuelo de bobo, gipa daug sa RTC ug CA pero pildi gihapon sa SC kay luto na man daan. Ang uban, na uli ang yuta pero na'ay "special arrangement". These guys are professional extortionists and land grabbers.

Guess kinsa ang nangusog ug nagpaluyo sa pagbaligya anang mga yuta-a?

That is why, in favor ko sa City Hall anang Land swap deal. In a chartering of a city, like Cebu, dapat i-turnover gyud unta ang properties sa chartered city total puro ra man na sila LGU. Pero unsaon ta man, gusto man mo commission sila Gov ug Congressman, mao na wa ta'y mahims.

i dunno about the real deal regarding the old Lahug airport lots. pero dakong OT na ni.

my simple analysis about this is that kung motukod ka ug airport, it should still not be owned by private individuals, but either gi donate to the gov't or gipalit sa gov't. Airport gud na. unless somehow gi-lease ra for how many years, pwede pud ing ana. or unless ky wa naman gamita, gibaligya na sa mga private entities like Cebu Holdings...

well, if not for that, we would not have now the IT Asiatown Park...besides, if na decide na na sa SC, we don't have to question about that matter legally anymore...unless there's an appeal. wala man kha? aw, end of the story nana...
