This is what I have.
Volkwagen Van P3,500.00 Alta Vista Pardo Hills to Vista Mar, Lapu-Lapu = 14 days
Honda Jazz 1.5 P 1,500 (same distance) = 14 days
Toyota Fortuner = P1,700.00 (same distance) = 10 days
Honda CRV last year model = P 1,700 (same distance) = 7 days
pero what I can say..... I like driving the CRV every day....
I take the N. Bacalso Hi Way-SRP-SM and use the old bridge then to MEPZ.
No traffic kay 5am pa then go back 10:30pm na or 1:30p.m.
Jazz is very good pero no power climbing lang...other wise very good for budget people.
ako i shift about less than 2k rpm, 1.5-1.8k, seems fine, basta ayaw lang pakuroga ang engine
para nako taas ra kaayo ang 2.5k rpm para mo shift. i get enough power already in 1.5k rpm to shift to the next gear.
murag OT nani ang topic da. guys, please open another thread for discussing on shift points, engine efficiency, etc.
this thread is supposed to be about fuel efficiency of cars so that we will know what to get and what to avoid.
hehehe sorry mods. but actually its connected man sad to fuel efficiency kay wer talking about the right RPM to shift gear to achieve maximum fuel efficiency.
sorry again..
just to add to the gas and diesel concern. bisan asa angulo daog gyud diesel samot na diesel naay RETURN. excess krudo ibalik ra either sa tank or sa engine.

yeah diesel does wonders pero i wonder if the newer CRDi's still get the same mileage even if its just bolted on an older engine block.
take the strada for example, the engine block it uses is 4D56 (the same one as the L300)
but it has a CRDi and turbo grafted on. does it still get the same mileage as the Crdi engines that were built from the ground up or does it consume more fuel than those all new Crdi engines?
-OT- things are heating up in this thread huh? cool lang ta mga pare, lets not add to the energy consumption hehe
count me in sad..hehehe... obserbahi lang ninyo ang shifting points for automatic cars at cruising o normal nga driving... naa jud siya around 2k to 2.5k rpm.....this is the most efficient shifting point (normally, as determined by the manufacturer).....pero kalas japon basta auto tranny compared with a M/T unya normal lang ang driver.. as in kalma.....
