    @JRanes:

    hmmm. still same prob. before ma-fix ang 'NTLDR' , fix first the drive detection.
    again, change the detection to auto, the boot sequence/order to only the dvd.

    kung dili gihapon, try resetting the CMOS (per earlier post).
    let us know.

    uhm. this requires at least some knowledge with your laptop's board. try checking the manual that came with your lappy, and check "CMOS Jumpers" or "Jumpers". basically, some boards require shorting of jumpers to reset CMOS, or even removing the battery. if you can't find instructions on this, you better call up your technician, or if naa pa warranty, then, go use it.

    go to your registry and remove upper and lower filters for your optical drive. it works most of the time...

    if drive is not detected under bios after loading DEFAULTS, reseat[tangala ang cables then i connect blik] the drive, then turn on sys in normal mode. if no go, go to safe mode, if drive is not detected. try to test another optical drive, if no go. swap cables with hdd, if drive is not detected still, u need to replace it. but if drive is detected usi ng another cables, cables lng ang palitan
