BTW, nakuha nako ang mileage above with the ff setup:
Charade:
no aircon [removed compressor], no back seats [just the 2 light seats in front], no spare tire, less restrictive air filter + some other basic mods.
Galant:
Most of the time, off ang akong aircon, no spare tire and ako rang usa ang magsakay so less weight.
regarding sa question sa taas asa ang mas tipid, generally, mas tipid ang efi compared sa carb. Pero dili kaayo dako ang deperensya kung maayo pagka tune ang carb.
BTW guys, have you read the kia picanto's brochure? 1:20 daw ang mileage and I've heard nga ang honda city idsl ba na... naa sad daw sa 1:20+ nga range... so the mileage nga 1:10+ is not really that good anymore. If you can get something like that in a kia picanto, it would be best...heheheh
BTW pa jud, there was an episode in BBC's Topgear showing a V8 diesel Audi (with a decent acceleration of 0-60 in 6 sec) that was proven to run a 40mpg (miles per gallon) that's approx 1:16km!!!
Car/Model: Mit. Pajero
Year: 98'
Engine: 2.8 diesel
Consumption: 1:8 L/Km
Reaction: Kalas kaau kay second hand rman gud, mahal na kaau gasolina mao ako gi pa tune up ron para atleast mu taas ang mileage
at least I am seeing comparable mileage to my innova....
na shock lang ko aning uban mo abot 1 is 12km and up....
daghan factors ngano taas ang mileage bai. first & foremost healthy imo engine, less weigth, tire sizes & pressure ug uban pa.
dako sad effect ang engine displacemnet, basically kon dako imo engine dako ka consumption. innova i think wla na 1.3 nga displacement so mag lisod ka kuha sa 1:12.
yes, Honda iDSI so far ako natestingan taas mileage average is 1:16.
Usually newer econo cars generally get above 1:10km. Pero would still settle for the diesels... especially the crosswinds, they're averaging somewhere in the 16+km per liter region.
Biking around town doing errands or going to work is actually quite nice, you don't use gas, you can park virtually anywhere, you can cut thru traffic, you get exercise and did I mention you don't use gas?Ang cons lang ana is that you arrive all sweaty so you need to bring a change of clothes, especially when raining. Travel time also doesn't matter that much since I actually arrive FASTER if I ride a bike than by driving a car... metro traffic is really bad nowadays.
understand law of acceleration.....
before saying kalas na.....
