Hello, Ive recentyl gotten interested in shooting and need some ideas from you guys on how to transform a smith and wesson 9mm model number 5906 into a comp. shooting gun.
my idea is as followed
1. trigger job to 2.5lbs pull
2. action job
3. customize barrel- fluted with compensator
4. hogue grips- rubber checkered
5. hogue grip sleeve with finger grooves
6. bomar sights
7. holo sight
8. jewel the slide , trigger and hammer
gear-
1. aluminum case in brief case style
2. Fobus tactical roto holster in paddle style
3. Fobus tactical 2 mag pouch also in paddle style
Would this make te 5906 into a tack driving weapon? How muc would it cost most likley minus the gun. and who in cebu does te custm work such as the barrel fluting w/ custom compensator, jeweling, trigger and action job ect?

expect to spend at least 15K on the jobs you want done on your gun. i'm assuming you want to go into modified or open divisions? btw, did you know that you can use your gun in competitions without having to spend? you can enter the production division of IPSC.

Thank you very much for the info im currently living in cdo but will try to bring the gun to cebu i next week to do the custom work. Which of the shops you mentiond is the best in your oppinion?
Also does the price you estimated includethe parts also? ifso its very cheap I think at 15t because the holograpic sights ect. ive been told are very exspesive. Im not planning to use this gun for competitio im just givig soething a try. im planning to start fully customizing guns and re-selling them to competition shooters here in mindanao. Im not sure if it will work but i want to give it a try with the 5906. Mysel i preffer .40 to 9m or .45 for shooting especialy the sti.

Sa ila Sam series pistol mo kabat ra ug 21k ang single stack(7+1) nga cal .45 1911 pistol(commodore or elite model). nya ila high-cap(13+1)na 1911 (raven or falcon model), mo kabat sad ug 27k.

editted to add*** kana mga presyo apil nana license sa pusil ug sa mga requirements. ang imo buhaton is to get nalang police,mayors & court clearance. pero pwede ra sad sila ang mo kuha ani nya bayad lang ka 1k nya imo lang ihatag nila ang imo barangay clearance ug sidula, mao rana kinahanglan.

try to check karon sa ila mga branch ki basin naapa ila promo(started last june). kadtong 21k mga 18k nalang siguro nya kadtong 27 mga 22k nalang sad.

I've only worked with Umars and TBA. both are good in their own way. Umars is an old-timer in customizing guns, he is known to fully customize and suggest options for your gun. TBA is known to be meticulous and very good with trigger jobs.

if it's going to don bosco, basin sa buhisan na siya bai. mao raman ni siya lugar nga mo agi don bosco. sige lang ako lang check inig abot naku diha puhon.
ako man gud plano ipa modify ako sam commodore. change the barrel to 5" nya ako ipa threaded to accept compensator para makabawas sa recoil aron pwede sad mo gamit si misis.

Thanks everyone for your information about cebu custom gun shops as it has helped greatly in my quest.
Id like to know from a ppsa member what is the guidlines on foreigners joining the ppsa. Can they jin and shoot here in competitions or are they banned from membership?
