It would really be ridiculous if and when Erap runs again. It would be the worst if he will win again. Maybe by that time I would have opted to go to somewhere else because that would be the time I would really lose hope in this country.

Erap could not run because there's a constitutional prohibition that limits him from running again. What really irritates me is the fact that his camp keeps on sending signals to the public that he would want to run again. It seems they are hell bent to put in office the once convicted plunderer who has done nothing for this country to move forward.

Estrada is opposition's last option for president: Binay

MANILA -- United Opposition (UNO) president and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay said former President Joseph Estrada will remain as the last option of the opposition in the 2010 presidential elections.

According to Binay, the former President really wanted to have a single opposition candidate to make sure that they will take the helm of Malacañang after the elections.

"The former President even though very fit physically wanted a single candidate for the opposition in the 2010 elections, thus he is working to do just that," he said.

He echoed Estrada's statement portraying Malacañang in a "state of panic" when it reminded the ousted leader of his promise not to seek political position again in exchange for the pardon granted him after he was convicted by the Sandiganbayan late last year on plunder charges.

Erap should not even be treated as an option in 2010. He is very much ineligible since he was a former president. More so, he could not even remain in office the last time. The people could always oust him again. Or better yet, Erap would not be voted even if he is still popular.

I really hope the public and his supporters will not be blinded with his propaganda of running again. I don't want to see Erap holding public office again.
