1) the lead must be promdi, innocent and naïve, trying his luck out in the big city
2) There he will encounter a posse made of either naughty relatives or strangers that will teach him street smarts
3) In his quest to better himself, he will encounter a beautiful young woman, virtueous and kind, really too good for him and often enough too rich for him
4) But she will fall for him due to his persistence and good nature
5) The girl will also have her own posse para may partners naman ang posse ng bida
6) Of course, there will also be someone against this love match between our poor bida and his love, in the form of a disapproving parent or a jealous and often enough sadistic, wealthy rival.
7) Through the course of the film, our hero gets rich either through by the luck that he happens to be the long lost heir of a great fortune or he becomes a popular star or comes up with a number one commercial idea
To celebrate his success in love and fame, the gang goes to a beach outing and performs the ritual musical..
9) Afterwards, the jealous rival steals the damsel. Our hero and his posse face off the rival and his goons in a shoot-out in, of course, an abandoned warehouse/plant. The rival and his goons have guns, our hero and his posse use their wits and luck, kind of like Scooby doo and his gang.
10) Ultimately, the hero and his posse subdue their foes. The police comes only after the danger is over just to bring the rival and his goons to prison. Our hero and his love wed, living happily ever after.

With the digital revolution already here and getting headway into the industry, one fear is that anyone could make any picture they want, the technology of filmmaking becoming affordable and all.Â* I just hope producers will take note that though the technology has become 'cheap', it doesn't mean they should cut back on otherr aspects of filmmaking-- doing so will undermine the value of a film.
Recently, a large number of digital locally produced films out on the circuit feature 'poor' topics... the plight of the masses, the underbelly of the slums, the misfortune of being a Filipino... I mean hey, it's a truth and some filmmakers feel that its relevant-- just wish we could come up some material that transcends all that...

actually, the film industry is dead. and the indie films, some are being watched by avid film fanatics outside the country, are trying so desperately to revive it, not here but overseas. people don't or can't seem to appreciate films like this because they're busy watching films that are comical, too good to be true and happy endings that suits their fancy.
With films that focuses on the essence of filming, there is no such thing as a happy ending.
I think I can see where you're getting at, bro... maybe there's so much pesimism (sp?) in those kinds of stories... but I don't really have a problem with those themes revisited so long as their told with a distinct and unique Voice, then let's see itWith the digital revolution already here and getting headway into the industry, one fear is that anyone could make any picture they want, the technology of filmmaking becoming affordable and all.Â* I just hope producers will take note that though the technology has become 'cheap', it doesn't mean they should cut back on otherr aspects of filmmaking-- doing so will undermine the value of a film.
With this "digital revolution" though I can't stand monologuing, a grueling reminisce and examination of the conscience... Or as Norbert (director of THERESA) puts it "execution that has been overly explored."
or anything that has stuff that screams too loud "Look ma I'm Mr. heavy drama!" or "Look at the camera angle ma! I'm a director!!!"
.. if this makes sense. LOL
