The Houston Rockets are trying to go after waived veteran guard Brent Barry who was involved in the trade that sent Kurt Thomas to the San Antonio Spurs.

sources said that brent barry was not happy that he was traded by the spurs... i doubt if he still want to go back sa spurs... he might prefer any team except the spurs... but he's mature enough to deal with it... so he may end up signing again with the spurs... after 30 days.Originally Posted by akira sendoh

Rumors:
Antione Walker
Antione Walker's agent Mark Bartelstein is working to get Walker out of Minnesota and to let him play for a playoff contender team. Both of them are chasing the trade deadline to make a deal but so far, nothing substantial has happened yet. According to Walker, he wants out because "he has accomplished too much and still too much to offer other than sitting on the bench and watch the Timberwolves play and shape their future."
Walker will be finishing his $8.5M contract this season and $9.3M next season which makes him easier to deal during the summer because of his expiring contract.
My take on this: Accomplished too much? Yeah right!! Do I hear Latrell Sprewell again? LOL. Why does Minnesota always have A-hole players who think they really deserve that much? Damn players with so much pride.
Dallas Mavericks
After sending away DeSagana Diop as a part of the deal that sent Jason Kidd back to Dallas, the Mavericks are looking for a potential center to sign after the day the waived players gets cleared. Jamaal Magliore is the top player being eyed by the Mavericks as well as other teams. Magliore, a former NBA All-Star, last played for the New Jersey Nets and averaged 1.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in 24 games in a little less than 11 minutes per game. Magliore is having career averages of 8.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in an average of 24 and a half minutes per game.
With the departure of Diop, the Mavericks will be forced to reshuffle their roster for the center position. Erick Dampier is expected to play more minutes while Juwan Howard and Malik Allen will be used at times to play center. Even using Brandon Bass and Dirk Nowitzki is a possibility.
Chicago long-term plans
Chicago Bulls general manager John Paxson made a move that sent one of Chicago's best players to Cleveland but is expected to make his own move during the offseason. Paxson and the Bulls are eying some big names available in the market after the season ends. Topping the list are Jermaine O'Neal and Tracy McGrady. Though O'Neal has been struggling lately with injuries, the 6'11 Indiana star has been doing on court works but is still very uncertain if he'll play for the rest of the season. On the other hand, it might seem that T-Mac won't be available after his contract expires but if the Houston Rockets will once again fail to get past the first round in the playoffs, he might find some place else to finally get to the second round.
Other lesser names that might be possible in the free agency pool this summer are: Lamar Odom, Mike Miller, and Al Harrington. And for the free agents available for sign-and-trade deals: Antawn Jamison, Gilbert Arenas, and possibly Shawn Marion.
If trades are certain for Chicago's future, John Paxson is even willing to send away Larry Hughes or Ben Gordon as part of the trade.
New Orleans: the other side of the Bobby Jackson trade
Tyson Chandler gets emotional after Bobby Jackson was sent to the Houston Rockets.
