^what truth? their mocking employment in call centers because theyre not supposed to be there? is this as as grounded as the law of gravity?

what business do we have judging other people's career choices?

you are taking it way too far. in a nutshell, with their qualifications they could be better than stick it our in a very volatile industry.

and who are you to judge me? this is a forum, nothing personal.

you may insinuate that i am implying it but guess what? I NEVER SAID IT!

you really find sense with highly qualified people working in a relatively easy and dead-end volatile job? a simple YES or NO will do.

go back to the topic, defend your views on the matter and that's it! Plain and simple! Let's cut the personal melodramatics coz Philippine TV has already successfully satisfied the entire country with that.

nobody here is mocking, berating, belittling or downplaying call center employees and the fine job they're doing.

honestly, I am very proud of them.

BUT when they start "showing-off", then that's another story.

Is it bad to tell them about the reality of their industry's existence?
Is it bad to bring them back to earth once in a while?
Is it bad to tell them not to put all their eggs in one basket?
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!

    AMEN, AMEN & AMEN.

Regardless of the size of the BPO company, once an account pulls out it, the agents go first. Where would they put the excess agents? Try to put them in other accounts? That is technically and financially not feasible coz we are talking of hundreds or even thousands and an account pull out is always imminent in the BPO industry regardless of the quality of the service they provide.

Is that very difficult to understand?

there you go. we DO NOT want to belittle / mock / downplay call center employees because we ARE PROUD of them REGARDLESS of the industry they are in.

that's basically my message here. and if i add my own views on what should they be doing career-wise, i do so with the mental note that i'm giving unsolicited advice and that at the end of the day, however gentle i try to burst their bubble, they're the ones feeding their families and paying their bills, not me.
