upgrade to a Zire 72, tungsten E, T5 or lifedrive dude. PalmOne is a good brand. The batteries are different from NiCad in that they have to be topped up using the cradle and charger - thats why it was designed with those type of batteries because the M515 was designed with the business professional in mind who usually tops up the battery before he/she goes out. NiCad batteries have to be fully discharged before being charged because they have memory unlike the type of battery used in handhelds. If you charge a handheld like you would charge a NiCad battery then over time you shorten the life span of a handheld's battery.

Its not PlamOnes fault that the Philippines distributors dont bother to stock up on the right parts or provide the best service. Some dont even provide the 30 day complete replacement policy that PalmOne strictly imposes. Instead they only offer a 7 day complete replacement. You can call the support line to report distributors like these and PalmOne will take an active role in setting these distributors straight. How do I know this? I used to work for PalmOne.

Check the local forums for bargain sales for 2nd hand units. There are lots of PalmOne support people in Cebu selling units that they bought. My friend bought a Zire 72 for 8T when the original price was 15T and it was still in the box un-opened. They sell them off because they get it for free as incentives.
