after lennon wrote this song, he was shot. and while the song imagine dominates the airwaves, vietnam war stops but only to be succedeed with another US-instigated civil wars in south america, invasion in persian gulf, low-intensity conflict in struggling south-east asian countries, and US-Mujahidden's jihad in Afghanistan against Russia.

the song did not serve any purpose. its lame. the only solution to the worldwide moral crisis is not ideology nor economic liberation. its by going back to the old ways of early christians.
