long press lang ang on/off button.. force turn off na cya.

How often it hung-up? If mag sige2x gyud, run scandisk and then defrag your disk.
Before you shutdown, close first all applications running. Do not disconnect to the network if ever you are connected. There maybe some applications running that were not closed properly and will leave the system hanging upon shutdown.
remove the batt then try to repair your windows XP.

Kung gikan na cya ga update sa OS usahay ingun ana na, but if you wait for awhile and dili gyud force shut down like what they recommended and do an integrity check on your OS and hardware. Most likely, corrupted windows ni.
naay driver or app na stuck ana dili muquit or muend ang process if naa ka new hardware gitaud, iupdate ang driver.
pwede sad ka edit sa registry if kamao ka:
1. Open Regedit and navigate to HKU\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop
2. Double-click on AutoEndTasks
3. Change the value from 0 to 1
Now hung processes will end automatically when you try to shutdown or reboot your machine. but if naay ga-hang chances are naay guba or di mao better check your recently installed programs or hardware.
