akong sabot kay DVI is standard for PC and HDMI is standard for Home Theatre Use. (like DVI + Audio and Copy Protection.. sakto ba?)

Display port hinuon will benefit mga 30" LCD monitors kay dili na kailangan mag Dual link DVI.

I plan to get the 37" nga Philips which is the smallest available size nga 1080p here sa Cebu.

What's confusing me is that the Philips manual says that the limit is 1280x1024 pero I've heard of other people sa forums claiming that they were able to run their 1080p LCD TV w/ their PC at 1920x1080 using PowerStrip to set the res manually.

They also say that the LCD TV's manual mentions that its not compatible.. but they got it working anyway... thats what confused me.. It's better I get first hand experience w/ people who used a 1080p TV with the DVI/HDMI connector sa ilang PC.

Another alternative is to go to the TV stores and demo that feature.. pero I dont have a laptop w/ DVI out.
OT: how much ang 37" na Philips sir? Naay Toshiba 42" x3500 Full HD pud around 62k

    The Philips 37" is 69-70k...

I havent checked the toshiba one though.... Sure ka sa price of that 42" LCD... that's prety cheap for a 42" 1080p

afaik the Toshiba 42C3500 ang 60k+ w/c is 720p... ang Toshiba 42X3500 .. the one nga 1080p... tag 100k+ pa man.

The samsung I think only has 1080p at 46" and the Sony has at 42" but Sony is really expensive.

used a 7600gt via DVI-HDMI cable connected to a 1080p lcd tv. was able to output at 1080p (naay overscan though)

used nvidia drivers version 91.xx i think, i just updated to the new drivers but havent tested yet.

try using component (Y/Cr/Cb) cables, i used it on a 1080p tv but was able to output only 720p on a 7600gt

this info helps a lot... gonna buy the TV na within the week,..... hopefully i dont run into any problems. Thanks!

When u mention overscan... does it mean nga the res is at 1920x1200 pero only displayed at 1920x1080 or 1920x1080 gyud siya but the edges of the screen dili makita sa LCD TV?
