Nope, The drive for a better performing hardware will NEVER stop, even if we had 5Ghz STOCK speed cpu today we would still overclock it to 6~7Ghz.

ALL E8400 WILL reach 4Ghz on air, provided that you have the correct motherboard and ram combination.

Having a 4Ghz cpu now or next year wont change any of the upgrade cycles.

Pasabta kuno ko ana 45nm or 90nm khibaw ko nga size na cya kay nanometer man na ang nm pero ang ako question kay unsa man gmit ana nya sa processor kng mo anam ka gamay ang nanometer mo nindot pud ang processor?

45nm? gamaya na sa processor noh? newbie kaau ko ana.

hahaha! mao gyud!! pareha ta.. nag search ko sa wikipedia ana.. naa'y 90nm, 65nm, 45nm, etc. pero wala ko kasabot!

wELL for you sir. I just said 'might' stop. For a mid range gamer like me, 60-100 fps would be enough. For a gamer above 100 FPS, games would be too fast and would ruin the normal fps. unless it has a limiting fps. It is somehow a waste of money, electricity and life span of the processor too. UNLESS if your rendering 3D or having time consuming math processing dealt with the processor. or you're just obsessed getting a high rank on overclocking.
