I gone through your discussions . Joomla is a cms however it requires pool for php applications specially for its plug ins and widgets, that is the draw back of joomla . It will drag speed performance down . Why not try dragonfly cms nindot ni siya . naaa sad ko nabawan dolphins sad nindot ....daghan man cms applications , depende unsa nahan nimo nga feature maoptimize for your website . Unsa di ay imo webhosting company ??
List of cms applications that I know of :
1. Joomla php based NOTE: mysql database being use to set objects to all php based softwares .
2. Media Wikki php based
3.Dragon Fly cms php based
4. Dolphins php
5.Dotnetnuke for ms platform..
If nahan ka design imo website using a GUI applicatin u can try using MS Frontpage , or DreamWeaver , or sandbox , microsoft publisher ,

daghana naku makatonan sa thread oi!! more power!!...i still study how to make it..tnx to all
A nice website...
First and foremost, my html coding is using the Strict DTD, and purely table less web pages.
Make use of the Div tags and css. Making sure also that it passes the w3c compliant for the HTML validation and the CSS validation, by checking it
in the http://www.w3c.org.
Second, my site should load fast to the client's end. I will be using Template engine like Smarty template engine, so far it is the best, easy to use and it is efficient.
Third, my site loads the same as it is in Firefox and IE, FYI; IE is widely in use but still mozilla is also there. Better to have it loaded in IE and Mozilla the same, thu there is also another known browser such as Opera and there also some text based browser.
Storage, mysql is widely in use, but you can also use postgre SQL, and an advantage in using the latter database management system is you can use stored procedures, and I think in the latest version of mysql you can already have some stored procedures.
In making webapages, the best tool for me is still the Notepad and it's latest version the Notepad++. I have tried Frontpage, Zend, Dreamweaver and the PHP Eclipse. The PHP Eclipse is also ok.
Opensource, CMS and frameworks, a lot to choose, the Joomla/Mamboo, Expression, Drupal, PHP Cake, Code Igniter, the EXT and much more.
That's it for now...
