that's the beauty of art daw, you can do anything, kasi di naman totoo.

yeah...it's art, fictional, kathang isip lamang...BUT there is a thing called ETHICS & RESPONSIBILITY. Besides, there is no such thing as absolute freedom of expression. that is why there is MTRCB to regulate film contents like ***, drugs, violence, foul languages, and this includes discrimination...

call it OA for some, at di daw dapat seryosohin...but the fact that this is unbecoming for a local movie...it's just like you are telling not to react to the "desperate housewives" case...sorry, pero hindi sa pagiging makitid ng isip kng mag-react ng ganyan...if ang tao hindi mag react sa SSS script mentioned, he/she could be a foreigner, a tagalog, or somebody who is insensitive, or just doesnt care...reality is, we all have personal biases.

somebody pointed out OA si Sen. Pimentel on his wild reaction, but my god, he belongs to thousands of visayan speaking pinoys who have the same reactions as him...so why do you think the senator's reaction is not worth considering?

you will note the parallelism these local scriptwriters are guilty of:

Desperate housewives = pinoy doctors & nurses in the U.S. ---- pinoy discrimination in the US

Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo = visayan yayas & helpers in Manila ---- visayan discrimination in Manila

and also, this is not an issue of us supporting or not supporting the local movie industry...it's too far from the issue at hand.

simply put, this is unacceptable.
