yep. it's on my back-up cpu used for testing purposes only, haven't used it for a very long while.

I use a lot of apps, so i disable UAC whenever i get the chance to. but with others who don't know how with their Vistas, it's still turned on. annoying when i do some favors for them with their Vista laptops/pc.

initially was impressed with the fluidity and Aero interface, but that was just it. My daily OS is still ol' trusty XP!

UAC is a quiet good feature. Shutting it down will just bring you back to the XP security level.
Everybody want a secured OS, but then people start shutting down security, and a couple of days later they cry for help because they got a virus, which will be of course a Vista fault...

rofl, softtouch has a point, the UAC is an upgraded security feature, people complain when its there and when its absent or turned off its still vista's fault, AMAZING! i leave mine on, and i dont think clicking ok a few times is such an annoyance, its there for your the safety of your computer. live with it.

well, maybe, for your average Vista user. i'm not one of them. just annoys me that UAC can't identify the common apps. i'll shift to Vista probably when it gets 60% or more of the pc population.
