rizal and bonifacio have different ideals and they are fighting for these ideas or what you say whatsoever ....
rizal wants a representation of the filipinos to spain and also equalities between spaniards and filipinos while bonifacio wants total separation of the philippines from spain

Andres Bonifacio a true bloodied Filipino fighter unfazed of death to fight for his country. He deserves to be our national hero.

my point was, halos tanan nato heroes like Andres gipatay, gibitay, gi-execute...why am i mentioning this? propaganda. wa jud ta dag-anan sa atoa oppressors & we are an inferior race...pareho ra na nga atoa national bird sauna was the maya (small, fragile, a pest) but we changed na to the phil. eagle. look! we even still have those symbolistic objects to give the pinoy color: bahay kubo, carabao, coconut (way sulod ang utok).
dont take this the wrong way, what gave you that idea?
the spaniards didn't only plan on befriending & doing business in our country, they were invading and colonizing us.
i never said that. i never said the motives of spaniards either. i only fast forward to the time they befriended raja humabon and where lapu-lapu came to the picture.

if this is about me calling lapu-lapu a pirate? let me get this straight, the way raja humabon described lapu-lapu to his spanish friends was more like a "pirate". raja humabon had a little competition with lapu-lapu on certain trade routes( more like areas of responsibility issues)
kaya mukhang "pirata" ang pagka describe.=coming from raja humabon. simple dispute between raja humabon and lapu-lapu, now humabon has some new friends willing to fight with him...the spaniards....to keep it short, spanidards lost to our proud native forefathers(kick ass)

    quick reffernce from wiki:

Hoping to make the new Christian King Carlos (Humabon) supreme in the region, Magellan be-friended Humabon and alliances developed between the two people. Magellan soon heard of a tribal ruler named, Lapu-Lapu, in nearby Mactan Island. It was thought that Raja Humabon and Lapu-Lapu have been fighting for control of the flourishing trade in the area.

On April 27, the historic Battle of Mactan occurred where Magellan was killed and his men were driven off the island by the natives of Mactan. According to historian and chronicler, Antonio Pigafetta, Magellan's body was never recovered despite efforts to trade for it with spice and jewels.

Magellan's second-in-command, Juan Sebastián Elcano took his place and sailed the remainder of the fleet back to Spain, circumnavigating the world...the rest was history.

honestly, i do get what your trying to say.
still from wiki: see they even call our forefathers savages.
thats why i prefer renato constanino's history books. history through the eyes of a Filipino...not from the foreign invaders perspective.

Survivors of the Magellan Expedition brought tales of a savage island in the Orient with them when they returned to Spain

Debates like that (whether Rizal ba or Bonifacio as our national hero) has been going on forever...since my great great grandfather's time pa...so maybe we'll just leave it at that.
