Pediculosis (KUTO in Bisaya) treatment, please advise.

Hi All,

My brother-in-law, a 12 year old, has this problem pediculosis known in visayan as KUTO. Bro, can you give me an advise on how to cure this kind of parasites? I am afraid if it will contaminate to others. Thanks.

i watched jessica soho a month ago on how to get rid of kuto mao ni ang tambal PERMETHRIN topical cream rinse/shampoo to be use 10x only...ask nlang pud sa pharmacist abt. ani.

Yes, I saw that, the children were suffered with pediculosis because that was one of the plagues. But don't relate your advise with the movies. I know there are some medical treatment on this, and that is what I am looking for.

that is the best way....

my mom told me when I was 6 my yaya had KUTO.

so she had to remove all my hair.... she didn't want me to be exposed to chemicals... It might have side effects...

There is this brand RID -- I don't know if it is available there, but you can try and see. It's a non-toxic solution that you applly to the hair. Then you have to leave it for a while -- can't remember for how long. Then you comb the hair with suyod. The solution will kill all adults and eggs.

There's another way, but I don't know if this one works. I read it from some magazine -- they use mayonnaise .... don't laugh .... anyway, you apply the mayo evenly on the hair. Wrap the hair in towel -- leave it for 30 minutes -- comb hair with suyod -- shampoo. May repeat as needed. If you decide to try this, let me know if it works.

And no matter what method you use, don't forget to wash bedding, clothes, towels in hot water.
