one word best describes tagalog dubbed animes.... BASURA!!
ok2 ra... but i prefer sad sa original but with english subtitiles
way lami ang dub sa bleach... starstruck ra gyud kaayo haha
(sayang ilang bayad sa franchise sa bleach :P)
Its classy if it's in subtitles. That way, the Japanese animation experience is preserved. Listening to them in Tagalog is ugly - not that Tagalog is an ugly dialect- I mean it ruins everything. It also makes it so funny but not in a good way.

hhmm... i wonder for those who hated so much animes that are dubbed.. from the very start, were you watching those entirely in "subbed" and not either "tagalog/bisaya/english" dubbed
because if you asked me guys, i also maintain the same sentiment/opinion as most of you have here.. but i don't resort to stressing words as if dubbed animes are like sheer trash.. i owe my fascination to anime way back when i was still young while watching "GHOST FIGHER in tagalog" and "Rorouni Kenshin/Samurai X in English" and i must say they were decently dubbed.. these two animes really had me wanting to watch more animes, until my preference to it went to more seriously like watching it rather in subbed..
if your answer to my question is "yes".. then don't mind my posting.. otherwise think again.. it somehow makes you "first class hyprocrites"
no pun intended guys..![]()

@Ran Fuji
Yes, like you, anime was also first introduced to me with a tagalog dubbed version way back when I was still wetting my bed sheets. Watching Yaiba, Ghost Fighter, and Dragon Ball Z. Those, however, were decently dubbed animes compared to the ones that you are seeing/hearing right now, specifically on Hero TV. We really can't deny the fact that the Generation of Filipino VA's nowadays are somewhat uhhmm.. below average. I know that saying that they're garbage are exaggerating it, but I don't know, I just feel like puking whenever I watch those dubbed version on hero TV, don't really know why, but no offense though, since we all have our own opinions and let's just stick with it without turning this into an irrational argument, peace out!! hehe...
KuyaBiga:
as i have said no pun intended.. my statement is just a simple tap on the head, for "some" who have forgotten how it all started on the first place.. the title apparently deals about tagalog dubbed animes in general.. when one say it's utterly trash without reservation, i just feel the need to defend something that has became an integral part to my fascination with animes..
it's a totally different story when we talked about a particular anime say Bleach on GMA, since like most of you guys, i think it's kinda awful.
