BTX is nowhere to be found... it was a standard Intel tried to push because of its overheating P4's

The difference between ATX and Micro ATX is size and features. Micro ATX boards are smaller and some cases can only fit Micro ATX boards.

ATX boards on the other hand have more slots and mostly have additional features.

It really depends on what u need for in a motherboard... Size, Features, Overclocking Options.

Some boards are small (microATX) but have good features also... Just let us know what ur looking for so we can match ur needs.

Here's another tip that may help you with regards to that one...

MicroATX = Have on-board graphics chipset (integrated video)
ATX = You really have to buy a Videocard for the graphics

I think what kazki is trying to say is all Micro ATX boards have built in graphics so the user has the option not to buy a discrete graphics card.

While they have built in video. most if not alll Micro ATX cases have PCI express or AGP slots.

most Small Form Factor (SFF) cases can fit Micro ATX boards... except for Shuttle and other proprietary cases that accomodate other not so popular sizes such as Mini-ITX, Flex Atx.. etc.

Another thing to consider... if ur building a SFF pc... its likely that ATX wont fit in it.

if you want a BTX form factor then buy a Dell Inspiron desktop series.

oh ya , karon ra ko naka notice ana. i was comparing intel's DG33TLM(MicroATX) and DP35DPM(ATX) yep the DG33TLM has an integrated graphix. does any body knows kung pila ka mb ang built-in videocard aning DG33TLM? this two boards are one of the standard desktop boards in the local market today for 1333mhz duo.. another question is... if i buy microATX with graphics, pwedi ba nako ma disable ang iyang built-in graphix and install a new videocard sa slot if ever gusto ko mag upgrade later on? so which man ang gi gamit mostly sa mga desktop PC's?microatx or atx?

di mn cgro mg matter ang size sa board part... ang importante ang features and capabilities jud nya. if taoran nimo GC ang mobo nga with built in graphics, automatic na ma disable(ang built in graphics)...

but some claims that microATX comsumes less power that full ATX boards maybe because they have lesser features since the board is small.
