how about minimizing the HEAT of your PC?

does 110 produce less heat compared to 220? if it does, how about transforming a 220 to 110 with a transformer so that the heat will concentrate to the transformer?... is it ideal?...

    yeah! bling bling men...abz'

Bro maybe you are confused with this ohm's law: Power (P)=Voltage (V) X Current (I).

The power rating given by the manufacturer of the device is always constant no matter what the operating voltage is.
(if you lower the operating voltage the current drawn by the device increases)

You actually be adding more power consuption because a transformer is not 100% percent efficient. It has power losses caused by Hysteresis and Eddy current loses.

in connection to above reply.. increase in current also increase the copper loss of the transformer. P=I^2xR.. this loss is converted to heat.. so it is not advisable to use 110V coz u need larger conductor ie. copper. to minimize this copper loss.

set the brightness that suits you.... mine naa ra ko dapit between 20 - 30...

brightness setting, saves power consumption on lcd. less brightness less consumption.

by the way, it is not the 110 or 220 that reaches the components in your PC. it is the multirail 12 volts and other lower voltages outputed by your PSU and they are fixed regardless of source from 110 to 220.

btw, mura'g mas modaku pa imung consumption sa kuryente if you'll plug it in to 110 transformer..

coz mo-stepdown pa ang voltage from 220 - 110, since we don't have 110v sa atong outlet,
so there will be resistance & current involved..

    it produces power then...

    producing power means consuming power..

then, mao na to xa.. ni-samut na hinuon nikaon og kuryente..

and cooling those components won't help you save energy..

it will only extend it's lifespan..
