JDV (congress spiderman) is alleged to be trying to gain political & business leverage thru his son's testimony on the NBN deal. blackmail? we dont really know for sure. and villar (senate superman) is not on her side anymore. plus nisasaw pa jud ni c trillanes (the one, neo) ug FVR (the matrix) by making their own diff. spin-off. so iya gyud gikuptan ni sa liog c erap (action king, casino king, now drama king) to prevent matters getting worse.

for all we know, the NBN scandal & cash pay-offs were made to look like she had a hand in this so as to taint her reputation & myt even force her to resign. we all know that ang iya concrete evidence nga gibuhat ra was gaining diplomatic ties w/ china. iya pa man gani gipa-cancel ang deal sacrificing her diplomatic ties them. we all know that china now is involved in issues regarding U.S. large recall of toys, substandard products and formalin in food products. and we followed suit. fact is, ZTE is from china. (hey, china is a communist country) a lot of their citizens still hate the phils because of our very close ties w/ the U.S. basin ra pud they created that NBN scandal para magubot ta dre.

also, the hello garci scandal is still questionable given the available technology to fabricate & manipulate such conversations (hinan-aw gud ta ug sine). ang U.S. ra ug Europe majorly ang kbalo mobuhat ani. remember that the U.S. is against us making closer ties w/ the communists. its one of their big national security issues coz the phils is an important strategic military & economic place for them. and also remember that their intelligence was compromised and humiliated tungod ni michael ray aquino. maybe bawos ra pud na nila to gain some leverage.
wow! full of characters! hehehe... nice input

but re: the garci scandal, (note to mods: this is part of the conversation and maybe a factor of erap's pardon)
*it is not questionable anymore since the malacaƱang, in a press conference, told the media that they have a copy of the said conversation! logically, they (malacaƱang) even violated the anti wiretapping law for having that copy!

daghan kaayu sablay si GMA... dili lang kadtong pardon kang erap... hasta si jalosjos, i dunno kung iya ba tong gi-less ang iya punishment... tsk tsk... luoy kaayu ang rape victim adto...

bitaw laughing stock kaayu si GMA to the other nations... mao raba ni kadaut natong mga pinoy... kung ang ubang nasud mo-constructuve criticize, masuko dayun ta... just like kadto comment ni actress claire daines nga ang manila is like city of rats and cockroaches, unya perting suko-a nila former mayor lito atienza and city council adto... pero that was an example of constructive criticism... in fact tinuod man sab to ang manila is very dirty jud...

well back to the topic... basta ang hatag ni GMA og pardon was another big blow... what if tanan criminals, whether rich or poor, mahatagan niya og pardon?? pagkadakung gubot...

Tax Collection - quarterly collection targets for BIR and Customs. cannot come up? fired!!! it works but w/ some political repercussions.

Fiscal Reforms - due to better tax collection, amnesty to large scale tax evaders, and other fiscal reforms. so now we are looking at a shrinking fiscal deficit, not to mention GDP growth.

Tourism - manila politicos dont like the idea of making Ace Durano the tourism sec. but look how many Koreans we have lang daan dre sa Cebu ryt now, and still counting...

Privatization - PNB, NAPOCOR, etc...more inflow of foreign investment.

Anti-terrorism Bill - generally good, but against ang church ug other human rights groups.

GSIS computerization - daghan nasakpan nga anomalous transactions, so these scammers want Winston Garcia out.

Holiday economics - adjusting holidays to form longer weekends with the purpose of boosting domestic tourism and allowing Filipinos more time with their families. of course, daghan pud ni-question ani.

Charter change - initiated the movement for an overhaul of the constitution to transform the present presidential-bicameral republic into a federal parliamentary-unicameral form of government. this created a lot of political noise, debates & protests.

EO No. 464 - forbidding government officials under the executive department from appearing in congressional inquiries without President Arroyo's prior consent. kay instead of "in aid of legislation" kno, but actually in aid of grandstanding...

Calibrated Preemptive Response - an executive order stating that demonstrations without permits would be pre-emptively stopped. Angal ang mga likes of Bayan-Muna, Anak-Pawis, etc...

Proclamation No. 1017 (State of Emergency) - gave Gloria Macapagal Arroyo the power to issue warrantless (and until then unconstitutional) arrests and to take over private institutions that run public utilities.
It was an attempt to quell rebellion as her grip on power began to slip, stop lawless violence and promote peace and stability.

Amnesty Proclamation 1377 - for members of the CPP and its armed wing, the NPA; other communist rebel groups; and their umbrella organization, the NDF. The amnesty will cover the crime of rebellion and all other crimes "in pursuit of political beliefs," but not including crimes against chastity, rape, torture, kidnapping for ransom, use and trafficking of illegal drugs and other crimes for personal ends and violations of international law or convention and protocols "even if alleged to have been committed in pursuit of political beliefs."

AND OF COURSE, the pardon to Joseph Estrada based on the recommendation by the Department of Justice (DoJ).
