Telan teaming up with Calimag and Peek. Not bad for Coca Cola. Yet, Coca Cola still has to develop a good playing chemistry. Cabagnot and Arigo is still out of sync at times. Sometimes I think sending Dennis Miranda away was not a good move. He's got a good start with Coca Cola prior to being traded to Sta. Lucia.

Coca Cola still got a lot of players who could turn out to be a revelation this season. Joseph Yeo, Chris Pacana and Jason Misolas and even Leo Avenido has to show their worth and step up their games. With their line-up, Coca Cola can't catch up with other teams, labi na kuwang kaayo sila ug big men. Peek is too injury prone.

Salamat sa link...hmmm talagang kailangan ng Coke si Telan, he is one reliable big man who can play 3, 4 & 5..most likely he will start at the 5 spot and Peek will be moved to the 4 spot, Duremdes or Antonio at 3, Arigo at 2 and Cabagnot manning the point. Calimag will be a good reliever to spell either Peek or Telan, Manny Caceres(if he is still with the team) can play limited minutes and Misolas will have to fill in Coke's lack of ceiling by playing 4 occasionally. ang backcourt sa Coke loaded na apil pa sila Ferreira, Avenido, Yeo and Pacana

Magnolia had their lucky breaks too. Actually they were not in total control in all of their 2 wins. It was just Dondon Hontiveros who bailed them out in each of those games.

    Hontiveros for MVP?hehe

James Yap of Purefoods was named the PBA's first Player of the Week awardee for this season. Yap led Purefoods to a clean 2-0 start and averaged 26.5 points in Purefoods' wins over Sta. Lucia and Talk 'N Text. Yap edged Magnolia's Danny Seigle (23.0 ppg) and reigning MVP Willie Miller (34.0 ppg) of Alaska for the citation.

hmm...only if Alaska won those 2 games or at least that heartbreaker against Air21, Miller could have had a better chance to the POW
