Inconvenient Passport Processing/Renewal

Have you wondered why it has been harder to renew or obtain a Philippine passport compared before? Pirmi puno ang DFA Cebu, ang ubang regions nga dunay vacant slots pirte layua. Unsa kahay solution ani nuh? I hope they can open more slots to accommodate thousands of applicants. Ako passport ni expire in 2016, hangtud ron wala pa nako naparenew, pirme ko dili kakuha slot sa DFA Cebu.

naka send ka email ni Cayetano? siya man nag head sa change os passport renewals, or kung naay enough petition sa complaints, basin mu change ilaha pamaagi. kay obviously mas mahal na hinoon. or ang mahitabo ani ron, kung nakuha na nimu imo ba o nga passport mangapply napud ka shcedule for new passport. ngeeek.

TS, here's a tip. got this from a travel blogger whom I follow and it really works.

DIY (DO IT YOURSELF) PASSPORT APPOINTMENT TRICK!

Make sure you are in the correct website on the 59th minute (eg 7:59, 8:59 so on and so forth). So that when the clock turns to the next hour you will be able to see the available appointments.

I stayed up all night just to see how the dfa website works and here’s what i found
From 10pm-4am, they really open alot of slots! And i mean a lot!
Then it stops at 5am, and now at 8am there’s a few opening here and there.

If you want better time slots, then wait til 10pm before you book.

Kalooy naman pud sa dili ka afford ug huwat kay walay internt/ internet cafe ray ma afford ug walay laing maka huwat para nila.

compara sa before , murag lisud ug mas mahal na hinoon. Unta income generating ug kay lagi, ang masang pinoy nanginahanglan, dili unta lisud lisurun total, maka benefit mansa gobyerno Pud. Kalooy oi.

i checked his FB page and found the same complaints. Clearly, Obviously , problematic ang system.

Observations from Cayetano's implemented system:

- In the first place, you dont need to waste Addtl time and money to go some other province you haven't even gone to yet (by force) to get a passport.
- Internet Connection is not Free and Available to the masses.

-Those who have enough only to afford Passport Only, will need Fare and Unnecessary Time to Go to A province Not for Vacation but for a Passport they can get in their own place.

Hinaot naay daghang mupetition to change this kay taud taud na pud ni, or i implement na intawn ang 10 years nga effectivity , Pero imho, i have no or low expectations from the govt. Pero WHO KNOWS? Dgong na baya President. =D

if mao pa na ilang current system karon, then what we do is find a way around it kaysa maghuwat ta nga mausab ilang sistema sa pg.book ug appointment. kung maningkamot, wa man imposible. i did not have the luxury of having internet at home man pud but nakakuha man gihapon ko ug slot. and yes, they've already implemented the 10-yr validity sa passport since January 2018

Paningkamot in my opinion is not the concern. Murag 2 ka tuig napud ni miga or at least a year. Looi sa Taxpayers.

kalisud ba diay mag renew sa cebu. last time nag pa renew ko sa may Gaisano kanang dool sa mactan bridge limut ko unsay name ana nga mall. wala man me atoy appointment, nag walk in rame pero na accomodate man mga year 2014 to. karun dili na diay ingana ka sayun?

last year nag pa renew ko sa Tokyo, 3 weeks lang abot daun sa among house ang new passport nku with 10yrs validity na.
permi naay slot para sa mga pinoy sa Japan ang Phil.Embassy.

Dali ra sa Offshore, sa Sydney ko pa renew last year 1 day ra, next day kuha (by appointmnt japon pero dili sama sa Pinas) then gi email ra nila ang renewed passport kay dili man ko taga didtuh layu paman sad ako gipuy an, ang Pinas man cguro ang looy tungod sa system.

Excluding me, 9 kabook sa among family ang naaý passport including the yaya sa anak sa akong sister. Sa DFA Cebu, pwera buywag, wala man mi problema. Magkuha ra man gud ko'g appointment online. Nya mo-adto ra pod sila on the appointment date. OK man.

Mag-renew man gud mi about 10 months before... nya dili pod mi magdalidali.
Wala pod namo gipanumbaling ang upcoming 10-years validity (last time pag-renew namo).
Basta nag-renew ra mi
