Should you remove your car thermostat?

Hi Istoryans, share your opinions about thermostat.

It is there for a purpose... unless you are a mechanical engineer whose major study is Internal Combustion Engines and is doing modifications on your car's cooling system, then you can remove your thermostat.

Otherwise, I do not see the sensible point of removing the thermostat. Though, yes.. kadungog na ko ana istoryaha.. especially sa mga backyard mechanics.

Sakto jud ka Sir,kasagaran backyard mechanic mao jud i recommend, naa mi napalit na nissan vanette way back 2013, ako na gi ayo ang cooling system kay dali ra motaas ang temp if mag traffic, change fan blades to 8 blades, cleaned the radiator and change hoses, karun ok na siya, pero na discover nako nga missing na ang thermostat, plano nako tauran og balik, pero need to upgrade my radiator first to 3 rows para iwas overheat. Naa kay ma recommend na Nissan expert na shop diri Cebu Sir, murag nissan safari mana imo avatar,hehehe! nice ride Sir! thanks sa reply.

kanang mang.nga backyard sira.niko ma.o na sila dili kama.o mo gamit ug 'torque wrench'...basta lang ma 'hu.otan ug ma.ayu, sakto na.....hasta na lang gyud.

yeah... the original batch ni siya sa Safari Patrol Gold edition. casa ra ko sir for service sa Safari, tungod sa availability sa genuine parts. karaan na man gud ni.
