first of all, jim can not be fired because he is a part owner. if jeannie decides to shake things up, it would be mitch. di man ta kahibalo unsay dagan sa utok ni jenie, kung kinsa iyang gi-consult. there are a lot of rumors, and few names came up... niel o'shea of portland is one, bob myers could also be a target.

if they decide to trade the youngsters, then wala nay gamit si luke...

what i meant was if jeannie is to take over and jim to step down, change of personnel in the management doesn't necessarily mean the whole lakers organization including the coach and the players will also be fired or be traded. that is risky and stupid. if ever jim buss is to step down and they will hire a new GM (probably), i believe his first job would be to improve the team not to dismantle.

that's the problem with jeanie, we don't know how she handles the basketball side of things. she doesn't have any basketball operations experience. lets just wait and see... hehehe!

I disagree. Jim Buss can be fired and should've been fired a long time ago.

Jeanie Buss is the team president and governor compared to her brother Jim who is only the executive vice president and alternate governor.

She has the supreme power in the organization and is on top of the food chain so she can absolutely fire Jim from his position.

Jim will always be around though as he is a part owner of the team but that is a conversation for another day.

The point here is that Jim Buss can absolutely be fired. He needs to go. They need to follow what Dr.Jerry Buss did, just be a great owner and leave basketball decisions to people who actually know basketball.
